1.1.1 How to create a category?
1. Click on the Building menu item
on the left and then click on the Categories tile.
2. In the first dropdown list,
select the item (e.g. Asset, Contractor, Parcel, Wiki and Maintenance Requests)
for which you want to add a category. The pre-existing categories for the
selected item appear below the Add button for reference.
3. In the Add a New
Category/Folder, enter category name and description. Click on the Nest Under
drop down to reveal the list of existing categories and sub-categories.
4. Select the appropriate category
and press Add.
5. The newly added category will
appear below the Add button.
1.1.2 How to delete a category?
1. Click on the Building menu item
on the left and then click on the Categories tile.
2. In the first dropdown list,
select the item (e.g. Asset, Contractor, Parcel, Wiki and Maintenance Requests)
for which you want to delete a category. The pre-existing categories for the
selected item appear below the Add button for reference.
3. Tick to checkbox on the right
end of the category row you want to delete. A bin icon will appear at the top
of checkboxes.
4. Click the bin icon. A
confirmation dialog will appear.
5. Press OK to finish.
6. Note: A category cannot be
deleted if it is assigned to any items. Before deleting a category, make sure
no items are allocated to that category.
1.1.1 How to edit a category?
1. Click on the Building menu item
on the left and then click on the Categories tile.
2. In the first dropdown list,
select the item (e.g. Asset, Contractor, Parcel, Wiki and Maintenance Requests)
for which you want to delete a category. The pre-existing categories for the
selected item appear below the Add button for reference.
3. Hovering the mouse over a
category reveals the Edit icon at the right end of each row. Click this icon to
show the category details in the Name and Description text boxes. The Add
button will turn into Update button.
4. Edit the details.
5. Press Update to finish.
