In this video, I introduce the new voting panel feature in MYBOS, which allows us to create and manage polls effectively.
Creating a Poll in the Voting Panel
Objective
This SOP outlines the steps to create a new poll using the voting panel feature in the management system, ensuring all team members can execute the process effectively.

Accessing the Voting Panel 0:07

Click on Building in the left-hand menu.

Select Voting Panel.
Navigating the Voting Panel 0:13

In the voting panel window, you will see two tabs:

Open: Lists all currently open polls.

Closed: Lists all completed polls.

Creating a New Poll 0:25

Click on the New button at the top right-hand side of the screen.

Select the type of poll to create:

General Poll

Case-Related Poll

For this example, we will create a General Poll.
Entering Poll Details 0:39

Input the Subject of the poll (e.g., New gym equipment for the building).

Add a Description (e.g., Exciting News, the committee has decided to purchase a new piece of equipment for the gym. Please vote from the options below on which piece of new gym equipment you would like for the building).

Create options for the poll:

Option 1: Spin bike (add description and upload a photo).

Click on Add Option to create additional options (e.g., Rower, Treadmill).

Removing Options 2:00

If you need to remove an option, click on the rubbish bin icon next to the option.
Selecting Recipients 2:09

Choose who will vote on the poll:

By default, strata committee members are selected.

Expand the options to select all residents or specific individuals.

Inviting Non-Registered Residents 2:41

Ensure recipients are invited to use the resident portal and have logged in to appear in the voting section.
Adding Photos and Notes 3:22

Optionally, add a photo for the poll by clicking the plus button.

You can also type in additional notes.
Activating the Poll 3:31

Confirm and make the poll active for voting.
Monitoring Poll Progress 3:47

View the progress bar to see how many people have voted.

To make changes, click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner.

Select Edit to add or modify options or recipients.
Notifying Residents 4:22

After creating the poll, residents will receive an email notification from the building manager.

Residents can log into the resident portal to cast their votes.
