[Building](https://support.mybos.com/knowledge-base/features?hsLang=en-au#building) # Voting Panel ## The voting panel allows managers to create structured polls so different groups, such as committee members or residents, can securely vote on specific building or strata issues. **The voting panel feature centralises the voting process, provides clear visibility of open and closed polls, and supports transparent decision-making across your building with full customisation features for Building Managers.**  ### Viewing Voting Polls **Step 1:** Click on **Building** in the left-hand menu. **Step 2:** Select **Voting Panel**.  [![Open Voting Panel](https://support.mybos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Open%20Voting%20Panel.gif?width=670&height=377&name=Open%20Voting%20Panel.gif)Click to enlarge](https://support.mybos.com/hubfs/Open%20Voting%20Panel.gif?hsLang=en-au) In the voting panel window, you will see two tabs: - **Open**: Lists all currently open polls. - **Closed**: Lists all completed polls. ### Creating a Poll in the Voting Panel **Step 1: Click** on the **New** button at the top right-hand side of the screen. **Step 2:** **Select** the type of **Poll**  - **General Poll** - **Case-Related Poll** **Step 3:** **Fill in** the relevant details of the **Poll** i.e. **Subject** and **Description** **Step 4: Create** Options for responders to select, you can also attach photos to the option by clicking ![upload](https://support.mybos.com/hubfs/upload.svg) ❗If you need to remove an option, click on the rubbish bin icon next to the option  ![delete](https://support.mybos.com/hubfs/delete.svg) [![Creating a Voting Poll](https://support.mybos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Creating%20a%20Voting%20Poll.gif?width=670&height=377&name=Creating%20a%20Voting%20Poll.gif)Click to enlarge](https://support.mybos.com/hubfs/Creating%20a%20Voting%20Poll.gif?hsLang=en-au) **Step 5: Choose** who will vote on the poll: - By default, **strata committee** members are selected. - Expand the options to select all **residents** or **specific individuals**. ❗Only people who have registered an account (either building manager or resident) with MYBOS will appear in the voting section and have access to the **Poll**. **Step 6**: **Add** a photo by clicking the + icon on the right hand side.  **Step 7:** **Activate** the Poll by pressing **Confirm**  [![Recipients Voting Poll](https://support.mybos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Recipients%20Voting%20Poll.gif?width=670&height=377&name=Recipients%20Voting%20Poll.gif)Click to enlarge](https://support.mybos.com/hubfs/Recipients%20Voting%20Poll.gif?hsLang=en-au) ### Editing the Poll **Step 1:** **Click** on the **Poll**  **Step 2:** **Click** the three dots in the right hand corner \> **Edit**  **Step 3:** Make edits \> **Click Update** to save.   ### Creating a Poll within a Case **Step 1:** Within a **Case, click** on the **Create Poll** button at the top right-hand side of the screen. **Step 2:** **Vote Type** will automatically be set to **Case**, along with the following information pulled through: - Case Number - Subject - Description - Photos uploaded to the Case - if at least 2 Quotes are attached to the case, these will automatically become Voting Options ![](https://support.mybos.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-15-2026-12-54-45-5467-AM.png?width=2472&height=1325&name=image-png-Sep-15-2026-12-54-45-5467-AM.png) **Step 3:** **Choose** who will vote on the poll: - By default, **strata committee** members are selected. - Expand the options to select all **residents** or **specific individuals**. **Step 4: Activate** the Poll by pressing **Confirm**    ### How do I notify residents? You do not need to notify recipients of the Poll.
