MFA Security BM Login Authentication
Learn how MFA works for building manager login in MYBOS, including 6-digit OTP email verification.
MYBOS adds an extra layer of security when you log in as a building manager. This security feature is called multi-factor authentication (MFA) and it verifies your identity using an additional proof before granting access to the application. For example, you may be asked to enter a passcode sent to your email address to complete your login.
❗To help protect sensitive information, sessions are automatically logged out after 8 hours of inactivity. You will then be asked to log in again, which is especially important if you have forgotten to log out on a shared or public device.
When logging in:
-
An MFA pop-up will prompt you to enter a 6-digit one-time passcode (OTP) that is emailed to you.
-
Enter the code to access the application.
-
Click Verify.
MFA can be turned off at an individual level, but an administrator can override this at a company level if they require all building managers to have MFA enabled. If you have disabled MFA but it switches back on, your administrator may have re-enabled it.
❓ Experiencing log out issues?
➡️ Internet Connection Interruptions - Temporary internet dropouts or unstable connections may interrupt the user’s session and require them to log in again.
➡️ Multiple Device or Browser Sessions - Logging into the same account on multiple devices or browsers at the same time can sometimes cause existing sessions to end
