How to Create an Inspection Template

 

 Creating a New Template

  1. In the Building Portal, go to the Building -> Inspections -> select New Template in the top right corner
  2. Give the Inspection Template a name, and select the Type. 
    • Common: if it is for common areas of the building, for example if the inspection template is for a building walkthrough. 

    • Private: if the inspection is for the individual apartments/units/rooms within the building

  3. Enter the Area name and click Add Area

  4. Enter items to be checked within each area and click Add Item. Add a new Area for each new Header/Section.

  5. Once completed click Save Template.

     

 

Edit an Inspection Template 

  1. Under Inspection Template, hover your mouse over the inspection you need to edit and select the Edit Pencil.

  2. The Inspection Name and Inspection Type can be changed on the same screen.

  3. To edit any of the Area/Type fields within the Inspection Template, hover your mouse until you see the Edit Pencil icon. Make adjustments as needed to the text, then click on the green tick to save.

  4. To delete any Area/Item, hover over the title and click on the Trash icon to the right.
    1. Note: Deleting an Area will delete all Items underneath
  5. To reorder Inspection Templates by Areas, you can drag and drop to adjust by clicking on the six dots.

  6. Click on Update Template to save changes. 

 

Accessing and Completing Templates

    • Inspection templates can be completed via the web or MYBOS BM app.

    • Through the web you can view in progress and completed inspections. 

Managing Templates

    • If you tick next to an inspection template you can export to excel, archive or delete. 

    • If you have archived a template you can restore it from under Building > Archive > Inspections > Tick the inspection template > Click on Restore. 

    • If you delete an inspection template this is completed deleted and there is no option to restore. 

    • If you adjust an Inspection Template that has already been used in the past, this will also affect past completed Inspections.
