How to complete an inspection and generate report

In this video, I walk you through the steps to start and complete an inspection, as well as how to generate the inspection report. I cover the different types of inspections available and demonstrate how to add comments and photos. I also explain how to save your progress if you need to finish later and how to edit completed inspections. Please make sure to follow along and let me know if you have any questions!

 

 

1. Introduction

  • Purpose of the video: To guide users on how to start, complete, and generate inspection reports in the Building Manager Portal.

2. Accessing the Inspection Section

  • Log into the Building Manager Portal.

  • Navigate to the Building tab.

  • Click on Inspections.

3. Types of Inspections

  • Two types of inspections available:

    • Common Inspections

    • Private Inspections

4. Creating an Inspection

  • Select a template for a Common Inspection.

  • Example: Choose "Fast Space Fail."

  • Add comments and upload any relevant photos or images.

5. Saving the Inspection

  • Options for saving:

    • Draft List: Save if not finished and wish to continue later.

    • Complete Inspection: Click to finalize the inspection.

6. Reviewing Completed Inspections

  • Go to the Completed tab to view inspections.

  • Open a completed inspection to see:

    • Comments

    • Status (e.g., Pass/Fail)

  • Options to:

    • Edit the inspection

    • Cancel changes

    • Save edits

7. Generating Inspection Reports

  • Return to the Completed Inspections section.

  • Select inspections to include in the report:

    • Use the checkbox for individual inspections.

    • Use the upper checkbox to select all inspections.

  • Choose export options:

    • PDF format

    • Excel format (standard)

    • Excel format (inspection list)
