Adding & Editing Case Status

You can edit case statuses directly from the settings menu located next to “New Case”

Case Statuses allow building managers and contractors to update and track the progress of a case as it moves through its lifecycle, providing clearer visibility across the Cases view and Work Order Portal.

How to add or edit case statuses

Step 1: Go to Cases > Settings  setting-gear (located next to the New Case button).

Step 2: Locate the relevant field in the drop box i.e Add or Edit Case Status.

Step 3: Enter the name of your case type > Click Add.

Step 4: Click Save.

In the pop-up, you can also:

  • grab_sort   Drag to reorder the position of case statuses. 
  • edit  Edit pre-exisitng case status names
  • delete   Delete case statuses.

❗ The following case statuses are default and cannot be edited or removed, as they are attached to MYBOS' organisation system:

  • New 
  • In Progress 
  • Completed
  • Deleted

Setting Case Statuses for Contractors share_with_contact

Case statuses can also be created solely for contractors to view via the work order online portal.

A contractor will only see a case status if the contractor icon ( share_with_contact ) is next to the case status. Unlike the default case statuses, these options can be edited and deleted. 

💡  Make sure the "Share with contractor  " checkbox is selected before you click "Add".
